Mission
The purpose of the Parent Teacher Organization is to enhance and support the educational experience at Pennington Elementary School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the environment at PES through volunteer and financial support.
- Raised over $1,100 with our Glow Dance and rocked the night away in the gym.
- Hosted our first ever Día de los niño’s carnival and movie night with our new 23 foot inflatable screen.
- Gifted 5th grade a customized class t-shirt.
- Hosted a Spirit Skate Night, and other food spirit events raising over $1,000.
- Collected Teacher’s Favorites and posted on our website.
- Thanked our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week with events, $20 Amazon gift cards, 477 notes of kindness, and $1,569 in donated food and vouchers.
- Got the party started with carline dance parties on special days.
- Launched our first ever website and new spiritwear store.
- Provided volunteer assistance to school events like Walk to School Day, Field Day & Book Fair.

Volunteering
The PTO organizes volunteer assistance for PTO and school sponsored events like Book Fair, Field Day, Dances. Look for opportunities to sign up on our social media.

Penny the Panther
We make sure Penny the Panther appears at school events.

Spirit Nights
Look for flyers and follow our social media to find out about our upcoming Spirit Nights! These are easy ways to raise money for the PTO by dining at the restaurant on a specific day!

We also host events like school dances, and support school sponsored events by volunteering.
Common Questions
Do I have to be a member to attend meetings or events?
No. Membership is required to vote on business during a PTO meeting. Each member family is able to cast 1 vote.
When should I join the PTO?
It doesn't matter if it's your first month at Pennington or your last year it's never too early or too late to join the PTO and help support Pennington!
What if I can't make a meeting?
Miss a meeting? Don't fret just make it to the next. We'll share updates about what the meeting discussed so read our updates and follow our social media and you'll be in the know for the next meeting.
May Children Attend Meetings?
Children may attend if needed. We don't not have a separate area or activity for children so please bring a quiet activity for them.
How can I stay up to date?
You can follow us on Instagram, join our Facebook group, join our Remind "class" for text message or app updates, and subscribe to our website news by email.
