Call To Order: Meeting was called to order by President Andrew Sharp at 6:30pm.
Old Business: Treasurer report presented by Treasurer Amanda McKey. Current balance of $3,902.27 with an outstanding deposit of $367.40. Kroger rewards were promoted.
New Business:
Previous Proposed Budget for the school year 2024/25 was restated. The Budget was moved, seconded, and voted on and passed with a unanimous vote. Proposed By-law changes were restated and discussed. The proposed changes to the By-laws were moved, seconded, and voted on. The proposed changes were passed by a unanimous vote.
The upcoming purchase of 5th grade shirts were discussed, and there will be a student design element to them this year.
Fall Festival will be held on Friday Nov 1st at 5-6:30pm with a PTO movie night held at 6:30pm. Next Fall Festival committee meeting will be virtual and held on Tuesday Oct 1st, at 6pm per Google meet invite that will be sent.
Chick Fil A Spirit Night raised $367.40. The next spirit nights were discussed. It was moved, seconded, and approved by unanimous vote to possibly have Buffalo Wild Wings, Whitts BBQ, Nectar, Hattie Janes, Jersey Mikes, and Rivergate Skate. Upcoming Dance to be held in December or January was discussed of possible themes.
Principals Report: Ms. Gonzales spoke about upcoming “Coffee with the Principal”, completing the Sensory Board Project, possible Reading Garden for students, and an Outdoor Classroom.
Staff Report: Delivered by Staff Liaison Ms. Hardin teachers will be reaching out to parents for anyone interested in being a copy helper and the need for one per grade level.
Floor Opened for Discussion and Questions: The discussion was about how committees are formed and utilized, the need for parental involvement with school activities, the benefits of forming a community at the school, and involvement in any capacity that people are willing and able to do.
